Investor Education Provides Way For Financial Independence
Non-profit Organization Teaches Ways To Mitigate the Risks of Investing

The Cache Valley Area Investors Association (CVAIA) is a non-profit organization that teaches people to have the right mentality and approach to investing that enables them to be financially successful doing something they love, not just a job that provides an income.

Preston Parker, founder and president of the organization, says he believes in the ideologies he discovered about financial independence and now has found a way to share them. CVAIA’s focus is to educate any willing individual how to be financially independent. According to Parker, financial independence is defined by when an individual’s income is above their financial expenses. Parker says, “I don’t use the words financially free because I don’t believe anyone can be free of finances. Our organization allows people to become financially independent through proper education”.

CVAIA focuses on educational and practice oriented principles. Such as what Parker calls the “Foundations of Financial Independence.” A few of these include physical, mental, social and spiritual foundations needed in order to obtain financial health and wealth. Parker says each of these correlate with each other and are not only taught about, but practiced by the participants.

CVAIA's purpose is to provide stability and independence among individuals in the Cache Valley community since they are the only organization like themselves in the valley. In regards to the incentive behind CVAIA, Parker says, "How much happier would the world be when people are doing something they love rather than doing something they must?" He has based his organization to provide opportunity for people to do what they love.

If people learn the right mentality and approaches to investing, they can all be successful in what they desire. People should be able to spend their time doing something they love, not just a job that provides an income. Passive Income largely makes this possible. Cache Valley Area Investors Association teaches people how to increase passive income. CVAIA embraces the Law of Attraction, Law of Abundance, and Law of Exchange. They practice the methods found in the ideologies of books including Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Wealthy Barber, The Millionaire Next Door, Atlas Shrugged, The Automatic Millionaire, and The Secret. CVAIA began in August 2007 and now has members from many geographical locations and from all walks of life. The members come together with the same belief: that education mitigates the risks of investing. CVAIA meets every other Thursday at 7:00 P.M. at the Cache County Chamber of Commerce.

Real Estate Business Launched
ABC Real Estate Opens in Logan, Utah
www.absrealestatellc.com

LOGAN, Utah - ABC Real Estate is the only real estate company in Northern Utah whose aim in business is to give people in the community opportunities to benefit from real estate by selling and purchasing land. They make this possible by using a beneficiary-equity holding land trust to create beneficiaries in a trustee. If an individual is looking for a home and isn't able to qualify for a mortgage because of bad credit, ABC Real Estate will appoint a credit beneficiary to allow the individual to live in the home until qualifications are met. Right now, the company is looking for prospective clients.

Preston Parker, president and founder of the company said, "In order for the community to benefit from ABC Real Estate, we need qualified investors whose interest is for the common good of others, so we can get the real estate market going again." Parker has two mentors who have already begun a successful company in Salt Lake and in California. Parker's job is the guarantee beneficiary while at the same time he does the outside paper work, finds people and handles the banking demands.

The company basically works by taking a person in need, whether it is a seller or buyer, and makes a trust for a piece of land. At least four other people are involved as beneficiaries, including the buyer and seller. These four people include the buyer beneficiary, the seller beneficiary, the credit beneficiary and the investor beneficiary. In the end, each person profits and Parker assures it is almost a guarantee factor that the value of the home will increase in 40 years. In real estate, any guarantee is a great guarantee.

Another benefit to the purchaser of the land is that they don't pay rent on their land. They are a part of the trust, therefore, they pay contributions to the trust which provides profit for the seller, the investor beneficiary and the credit beneficiary. It all is very trustworthy and safe because not one of the individuals owns the trust. It is a lawyer-based ownership and is bound by law.

ABC Real Estate's goal is to connect members in the community and to serve as a "middle man" to bring greater success and strength to the economy. They recognize the financial crises that the U.S. is struggling though, including real estate in Northern Utah. It's time in renovate the real estate system in Northern Utah and ABC Real Estate is the only company in reach to accomplish that great task. Preston Parker, President of the company, encourages all to come together to give more opportunities to individuals in Northern Utah.

JCOM 2160 Reading Netiquette

I thought the readings were great because etiquette is a very important aspect in the business world. Some people might give or take a job based on an individual's etiquette. Cyberspace shouldn't be the exception. I really liked the pointers it made out. One of my favorites was about not forwarding everything to everybody on your mail list. It refers to mail list as being a "dirty word" if you make it that way. People don't like to hear that their grandma's dog is going to die unless they email the message to 500 people in the next ten minutes. It only takes up inbox space and time, which both are annoyingly full a lot of the time. The message I got from the whole reading in a nut shell, was to treat people with respect and the same courtesy you would as if you were speaking to them or relating with them face to face. Being behind a computer seems to make people think their masked identity makes it okay to be a jerk. It's not. Be courteous to all you meet, whether through the screen or in person and the business world will be a much more friendly and inviting place.

Cousin Letter PR

January 12, 2008

Dear Brooke,

Hello cousin, how are you doing? College is great, I am really enjoying it. In case you didn't already know, my major is public relations. I am very excited about it because it is something that I know I will love to do as my career. I am under the impression that you don’t quite understand what public relations is, so I am going to give you a quick explanation of what a public relations professional does. Firstly, in order to save ourselves time by saying "public relations" all the time, we have made an acronym by saying "PR". When a person asks what my major is, if they are familiar with the Journalism and Communications Department at Utah State University, which is where the PR major is, I would tell them I am a PR major.

PR professionals spend a lot of their time writing. You might not guess that at first, but it’s true. We spend our time communicating to the public, hence, public relations. We do that mostly through our writing. These writings include news releases, newspaper articles, bulletins, memos, calendar updates and many more. If you aren’t familiar with what a news release is, it is an email or paper that goes out to the newspaper industries notifying them of upcoming events or changes that are taking place in the company in order to communicate to the public what the latest updates are. People sometimes get confused that a PR manager does advertising, but that isn’t necessarily the case. They don't write about or sell the actually product, they are mostly selling the company.

There are many different approaches you can take on PR. I know you have seen Happy Gilmore with Adam Sandler. In the movie, the character Virginia Venit is the PR manager for the golf tournament. She handles news conferences and is the person who is in charge of communicating the golf tournament to the public. For example, when Happy goes ballistic on the golf course, she is the one who talks to the reporters explaining what Happy did and smoothing things over. That is something I would enjoy doing, minus the golf tournament. I would rather work for a non-profit organization or a child service center.

If you have any other questions regarding PR, please feel free to ask me. It’s an exciting career with many opportunities. I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Alyson Bauer
